Alessandro Verre returns to Team MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack

The MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack team announces its 21st rider for 2026: Alessandro Verre. Born in Marsicovetere (Basilicata) on November 17, 2001, he celebrates his 24th birthday in the best way. In 2025 Verre came close to success in the queen stage of the Giro d’Italia, finishing second, and wore the polka-dot jersey at the Vuelta España during the Italian stages.
As for Fausto Masnada, Davide Persico and Samuele Zoccarato, this is a rider who has already ridden for the MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack team, in 2021, distinguishing himself at the Giro Next Gen with a 6th place in the general classification and winning some races, including a stage of the Giro della Valle d’Aosta, traditionally reserved for climbers.
For Verre, who alternates between the gym and road outings these days, the future is all to be written. The off season in Basilicata has been mild so far and he’s still training in shorts and T-shirt, so it’s going well. The rider is very happy to be back in the MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack family: “A well-organized formation – confirms the Lucanian – where there is a direct human relationship. In these four years I have accumulated valuable experience, participating in many high-level races in an increasingly competitive cycling. Each new adventure brings with it great expectations. I consider it essential to maintain serenity.
“I only ask to enjoy good health, avoiding compromising the season by various viruses. In recent years I have often seen so many runners get sick and miss so many months. So again it takes a bit of luck, also because every year I seem to get better, but the group is getting stronger and stronger, so unforeseen events are not allowed. The results then are the logical consequence of the work” concluded Verre.
