Juventus and Napoli are looking for midfield grafts to shore up the team and both clubs have the same champion in their sights. It is Quinten Timber, a champion of Ajax who is worth 25 million euros, according to Transfermarkt. The Dutch club is trying to convince him to renew his contract that expires in June but Timber is very hesitant and has already asked his entourage to explore alternative options to leave the Netherlands for free in the summer. In addition to Juventus and Napoli, Borussia Dortmund is also a’concrete hypothesis for the future of Quinten Timber, the author of two goals and two assists so far this season.

Probably in the coming weeks other clubs will come forward for him: he is among the best players due to expire in 2026 and it is not often that a chance to sign a champion of his caliber at no cost is available. Juventus and Napoli’s list of targets also includes the names of Tiago Gabriel, a Portuguese central defender born in 2004 and owned by Lecce, and Tarik Muharemovic, a former Sassuolo player who is also being followed by Inter Milan. However, Juve has reserved 50 percent on the future resale of the neroverde central: in this sense, therefore, it would have a major advantage over the partenopei and nerazzurri.

But that’s not all: there is another target that Juventus and Napoli have in common. It is Rodrigo Mendoza, a Spanish midfielder born in 2005 and owned by Elche. Napoli is grappling with a rather crowded infirmary. So many players are in the pits, especially midfielders. As is only to be expected, the Azzurri club is looking around for a quality midfielder who could be right for Antonio Conte. The same goes for Juventus, which is aiming at an element that can give something different to Luciano Spalletti, who so far laments the lack of a real regista in his chessboard.

Waiting for market clashes, Napoli and Juventus are preparing to face each other in the league: the Italian champions partenopei will host the bianconeri of former Luciano Spalletti at the Stadio Maradona. Appointment on Sunday evening at 20:45.
