Men’s Italy is second in the World Cup skating team sprint thanks to Federico Pellegrino, who has just been named standard-bearer at Milan Cortina 2026, and Elia Barp, beaten by 2″04 only by Norwegians Erik Valnes and Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo.
In third place finished Sweden’s Johan Haeggstroem and Edvin Anger, 5 cents behind the Azzurri. Good result also for Italy 2 of Davide Graz and Martino Carollo,ninth at 7″88.
Pellegrino has always picked up important results in Davos, where he has had four successes: in 2014, 2015, 2020 and 2022, and has been able to stand on the podium a total of eight times, the’last in January 2024 when Davos was hosting the Tour de Ski.
