After a 2025 well below expectations, rumors continue to chase each other at Ferrari regarding a possible change at the race wall, with Frederic Vasseur on the gridiron for months now for the Rossa&#8217s disappointing results in the last Formula 1 season. The record of the season speaks of a single victory at Sprint Race level, with Lewis Hamilton in China, and just seven podium appearances in long races, all by Charles Leclerc. Numerous hypotheses are circulating among fans and insiders, among which there is also the internal solution, that of Antonello Coletta, one of the architects of Drivers and Constructors titles won in the Hypercar category of the WEC.

Interviewed on the subject by Sky Sport, Coletta wanted to clarify the internal situation at Ferrari, stressing that there is no reason, in his view, to fuel rumors about possible changes. “Everyone has their own path and their own role. It is normal for news to come out, but there is nothing strange: we all work in the same company and it happens that, in times of difficulty, juxtapositions” are made. The executive then recalled that Formula 1 is going through a crucial phase, with the introduction of the new rules and the wait for the next single-seater: “We are waiting to see the new car, we give confidence to those who are there. All of us are working in perfect harmony”.

Francesco LuciveroFerrari, comes an acknowledgement that smells like a tease for fans

Ferrari’s season has been nothing short of disastrous.
No wins (apart from Hamilton’s sprint in China) and only a few podiums by Leclerc.
Too little since there was even talk of world title possibilities.
The reds have never really struggled with the McLarens and Verstappen.
At the end of the season, however, came an accolade that certainly doesn&#039t satisfy the fans.
The Ferrari in fact completed the fastest pit stop of the year.
The mechanics in short did their part.
Even John Elkann pointed the finger at the drivers, extolling the team.
L'next year with the new regulations everything will change.
Leclerc and Hamilton will be called upon to take advantage of it.

Coletta, who has been at Maranello since 1997 and is currently Global Head of Ferrari Endurance & Corse Clienti, also reiterated the’excellent personal relationship with the Red team principal in F1: “Frederic Vasseur and I are in constant contact, we see each other often and talk with great serenity. There is nothing concrete to suggest any change, neither for me nor for him. We remain focused on our work”. The Ferrari executive thus tried to dampen rumors of Vasseur’s farewell and his move to one of motorsport’s most coveted pit walls, especially in view of a delicate season with new regulations that could revolutionize the championship.

The trial of the Rossa’s underwhelming season, however, continues and to expose himself, in recent days, was also a former protagonist of the Circus, Riccardo Patrese: “Honestly I struggle to be optimistic for the 2026 of the Cavallino – said the Paduan to the Quotidiano Nazionale -. Ferrari is coming off a disappointing season. Vasseur? He is now playing it all, he has been there since January 2023, time to build he has had it”.

“In general, to me Fred so far has seemed unresponsive in the face of difficulties– added Patrese. “In Formula 1, as in any top company, it is essential to create a close-knit team. This is the task that a team principal must perform. After that, there is more: Ferrari needs an important technical leader”.
