Carlos Sainz enjoys his first win in Formula 1. “I don’t know what to say, it’s fantastic, the first win after 150 races with Ferrari at Silverstone, I couldn’t ask for more.”
“Lewis Hamilton was on the piece today but we managed to keep it. I struggled a lot on the balance especially with the medium tires in the first stint however I kept believing. Then the safety gave me an opportunity to get back in the lead and I managed to do it.”
“Silverstone is a special place. Here I got my first win in 2010 with the Bmw formula and also my first pole. Now, after 12 years, I managed to get the same result.”
