“Once all those responsible have been identified, Inter will exercise the liking clause to prevent them from entering the San Siro stadium and will proceed against them in the appropriate judicial venues”, announced the number 1 of the meneghino club, who had already been clear in the post-match: “I would like to condemn a gesture like this. It has nothing to do with the values of sport, and it is absolutely insulting. The sorrow is great and it is not only mine. To share it is practically the entirety of Inter fans”.

Audero himself spoke about the’incident on his social channels: “Hello everyone, this is a message to thank everyone who wrote to me yesterday. I am fine now, although yesterday I had a strong pain in my ear and a strong burning in my knee. I am relieved because I reviewed the pictures of what happened and, indeed, it could have been much worse. Unfortunately, episodes like this continue to occur… I hope they become fewer and fewer, and I once again thank everyone who was there for me”.

Davide Nicola in the press conference had spoken about the’episode, praising his extreme defender: “The episode comments itself. I want to emphasize the great sportsmanship and professionalism of the boy. He suffered a backlash from the outburst but he showed himself as a man and that to me is fundamental”.

“Otherwise we faced a very strong team. I really liked the spirit shown, too bad we didn&#8217t find the goal we perhaps would have deserved. The boys put in a great attitude. We should not despair: we recover some players who can give us solutions and structure, and we will play with four or five other teams for a chance to stay in the category”.
