Peppe Poeta, half happy, praises Treviso

Making the difference in the last possessions is especially Ellis, protagonist in the key moments between baskets and assists, when Treviso had come back up to minus two. Good performance also from Guduric, best scorer with 17 points, although with some less lucid choices in the final minutes. Milan sent four men into double figures and also found an important contribution from the former Trento point guard, stopped at 8 points but instrumental in closing out the game and bringing home the win.
“I expected a tough game and it was because it’s never easy after two EuroLeague games to the fourth game in eight days. We were ahead the whole game and held them to 71 points, but we have to become more cynical and we were not cynical tonight either. We go ahead by 10, 11 points and we don’t stretch there. They played with spirit, with agonism and played a good game. But we are glad we won it. The next game is Friday so for once we can stop and prepare for the next one” says Peppe Poeta.
Two are now at the top of the standings: in fact, Virtus won in Brescia in the other match played on Monday. Milan is -4 from the leaders, Treviso is last at -2 from Cantù.
