After a very cautious winter soccer market session, Bayern Munich is preparing its moves for the summer, and in recent weeks meetings between club executives have intensified to establish priorities. According to the latest rumors, there is still no shared’idea on where major resources should be diverted.

According to some, the defense needs top-level reinforcements for which very large investments should be made. Luka Vušković, for example, is impressing with the Habsburg jersey and many have approached him to Bayern Munich as a possible replacement for Kim Min-jae but Tottenham, the owner of the young Croatian’s card, values him at around 50 million euros. Very similar discourse for Malick Thiaw, in the Bavarians’ sights since his time at AC Milan but with a valuation above 45 million euros.

According to others, however, in order to fix the defense it would be necessary to focus on inexpensive or zero-parameter purchases, as in the case of John Stones and Marcos Senesi, both of whom have expiring contracts. The former wants to leave Manchester after a very long experience and would like to try a new league, the latter has already informed Bournemouth of his desire not to renew and is looking around. According to supporters of this thesis, the major economic efforts should be used for the attack.

Bayern Munich’s big target for the offensive department is undoubtedly Yan Diomande: the Ivorian is among the best in his role but competition is fierce. Should Leipzig fail to qualify for the Champions League it would be almost impossible to prevent his farewell and many clubs are closely monitoring despite the fact that the transfer fee could be very close to 100 million euros.

In addition to new signings, the management is also busy on the contract renewal front and among the most urgent ones is definitely the one with Harry Kane. The Englishman is currently tied to Bayern Munich until 2027, but the goal is to extend the deal by a couple of years also to give a strong signal to Barcelona, which has been back in the running for the English bomber in recent weeks.
