After two intense days of official testing in Buriram, Aprilia Racing is ready to tackle the first round of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship at Chang International Circuit with Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín.

Marco Bezzecchi had a chance to work on the RS-GP26 during the tests held between Sepang and Buriram. During the total of five days of testing, the Italian rider showed a good tuning with the RS-GP26, consolidating the quality of the work carried out by the Noale manufacturer’s Racing Department and showing encouraging potential. Bezzecchi faces the first race weekend in Thailand with great motivation, determined to confirm the speed and positive feelings that emerged in the tests in Buriram, where at the end of the two-day test he finished in first position.

“The tests went quite well, we worked a lot and this helped us understand how the RS-GP26 is going. I’m satisfied, even though testing is very different from a race weekend. Now we have some time to work and analyze the data, trying to find more room for improvement. The guys have done a great job and I can’t wait to finally start racing,” stresses the Romagna centaur.

From next year Bezzecchi will share the box with another Italian centaur: Pecco Bagnaia will switch from Ducati’s red to Aprilia’s black starting in 2027. Taking the Piedmontese rider’s place in the Borgo Panigale factory team will be Pedro Acosta. With his new team, the two-time MotoGP world champion will sign a four-year contract, a rarity in MotoGP.
