Marc Marquez, desire for redemption: message to rivals

After the long break due to the postponement of the Grand Prix of Qatar (which will be recovered in early November with the consequent postponement of the final GPs of Portugal and Comunidad Valenciana), MotoGp is ready to return to the track for the first European round of the season, on the Andalusian track of Jerez de la Frontera. A circuit that is certainly testing in terms of performance, on which the reigning world champion, Marc Marquez, is determined to regain the pre-injury polish of last fall along with his Ducati.
For Marquez, as he himself confirmed to the official channels of the Rossa di Borgo Panigale, it was “a three-week break that I made the most of to recover in view of the first European races of the season and the first home Grand Prix just around the corner. I am happy, Jerez is a track that I like, historic, complete and where there will be many fans. Last year winning the Sprint here was special, a unique emotion. I’m also looking forward to getting back to work ahead of Monday’s test.”
In the first three rounds of the season, Marc Marquez took a first in the Sprint in Brazil and a second in the previous one, in Thailand. His other races are to be forgotten: retired in the long race in Buriram, fourth in the one in Goiania, and fifth in Texas, where among other things he had not scored points, due to a crash, in Saturday’s Sprint.
A 1993 class, in his second year in the official Ducati team, Marc Marquez is aiming for double figures under World Championships won, having joined Valentino Rossi at nine last year. In addition to the internal competition of Pecco Bagnaia, the Catalan has to reckon with a decidedly competitive Aprilia this year, as witnessed by the triptych of Sunday successes of Marco Bezzecchi, leader of the general standings at the pre-Jerez break.
