Cantù-Treviso, there is a restriction for visiting fans

Aqua S.Bernardo Cantù’s last game of the season will be the crucial challenge at PalaDesio against a Treviso team that is going through a wonderful state of form: the two teams are in the race for salvation, as is Sassari, which at the moment appears to be the biggest clue for the jump back category. In Brianza two-ball at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 3. The PalaDesio ticket office will open at 3:30 p.m. on game day. By order of the competent authorities, the purchase of tickets for residents in the province of Treviso is limited exclusively to the guest sector, which can accommodate 200 people.
The stakes are very high: Cantù comes to the appointment with 18 points in the standings, Treviso with 16, while Sassari is stuck at 14. The Marca’s white-blues have proven to be anything but easy opponents, as evidenced also by the blowout on Brescia’s court, a victory that further complicated the Sardinians’ situation. Coach Marcelo Nicola has been able to transform a team that was in very difficult standings conditions into a compact and dangerous group, capable of racking up four successes in the last five outings.
On the Canturino front, the defeat suffered on the parquet of APU Udine made the home challenge against the Venetians even more decisive. Coach Walter De Raffaele analyzed the performance with lucidity: “We tried different quintets and situations, to cover absences and bad nights of some, but there was never that spark to rekindle on an emotional level a game that started uphill.” However, the coach is already looking ahead with confidence: “We have to have the ability to recover physically, erase and analyze what went wrong, to try to be ready for the next game. We will play in front of our public, this I hope will give us some of the energy that we lacked tonight.”
The salvation scenarios are clear: Sassari should win both of its last two games – at home against top-ranked Virtus Bologna and then away to Brescia – while Treviso should lose both in Cantù and the next home engagement against Reggio Emilia. There is also the hypothesis of a three-way finish between Sassari, Cantù and Treviso, but in that case the avulse ranking would penalize the Brianzoli, especially because of the heavy -16 suffered at PalaSerradimigni against Banco di Sardegna. One more reason why De Raffaele’s boys cannot afford to look at other results: against Treviso they need to win.
