L'Olimpia for foreign point guard fishing in LBA: eyes in Laguna

Olimpia Milano looking for a point guard for next season is evaluating several profiles: in addition to the negotiations for Darius Thompson (who has an Italian passport) and Alessandro Pajola, the Milanese club is looking for a foreign point guard and has set its eyes on a player who has been showing off this season in the LBA.
According to rumors reported by Realolimpiamilano, RJ Cole of Reyer Venezia is a very interesting profile for the Milanese club. The class of 1999, who grew up basketball in the Howard Bison and at the UConn Huskies, has played in Europe with the jerseys of Lavrio, Braunschweig and Rytas Vilnius.
He arrived in 2025 in Venice and ended the Eurocup season averaging 12.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game, touching 25 points against Manresa. In the LBA, RJ Cole is currently averaging 16.8 points, also putting himself on display against Milan in the league.
His name is in the notebook of many Euroleague clubs and Olimpia will have to move early to get ahead of the other suitors.
Cole came to Venice last summer with very clear ideas about his role and ambitions. “I definitely call myself a point guard, because the thing I like most on the court is to get my teammates involved. That being said, I can score and I strive to be a very good defender as well,” he had said at the time of his presentation with the orogranata jersey.
