Leonardo Bonucci gives Milan few chances

Former AC Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci in an interview with Sportmediaset was pessimistic about the Rossoneri’s chances in view of the Champions League sprint that will characterize the championship finale. In contention are Napoli, Juventus, Milan, Roma and Como: the Diavolo, long among the top three in Serie A, has slipped to fourth place after a series of negative results from which it can’t seem to shake off.
“Who is most at risk of staying out of the Champions zone? First of all I say ‘how nice’ that there is still so much at stake in the last few days. To date seeing what the results and matches are, Milan is the one that is risking the most,” Bonucci said. “The psychological aspect is the most important component and with Atalanta this was missing. Allegri’s team seemed to me to be the one in the most difficulty in this aspect. At this moment in my opinion Juventus and Como are a bit fitter as heads and legs.”
Bonucci is still an assistant in the national team: “I was asked to get to the end of my contract by helping CT Baldini in scouting. I am carrying on this work: on Sunday I was in Parma. When the contract expires we will see what comes out. On my part there is a desire to take this path. In September I will start the course to take the Uefa Pro license.”
The former Juventus defender also spoke about Inter’s scudetto: “Honestly, because of what had happened in the end of the season and the change of coach, I thought Inter would have had some more difficulties. The club, team and coach did well to go straight to their goal. For what was seen on the field the Scudetto is more than deserved, then the others also lost important points on the way and this facilitated the Nerazzurri’s victory.”
