Mom Siglinde has left the Central Court grandstand at the Internazionali d’Italia in Rome. At the Foro Italico Jannik Sinner was in great difficulty against Daniil Medvedev, who after a first set dominated by the Azzurro came into the match, winning the next partial.

Sinner appeared exhausted and in pain, and during the court changes he let himself go in several grimaces while sitting on the bench. After the second set, due to too much tension, his mother Siglinde decided to leave the Central, leaving her husband Hanspeter alone. It had happened before.

This is not the first time that Jannik’s very reserved mother could not handle the tension in front of her son’s matches. Siglinde had already confessed in the past her own difficulty in following the South Tyrolean champion: “I can’t make it to see him, I get a thing here, it’s too much… too much for me,” she had admitted with her usual discretion

In the stands, next to his father Hanspeter, Jannik’s girlfriend Laila Hasanovic and brother Mark remained instead. The Danish model, who has also been in Rome for days due to work commitments, made her first appearance at the Foro Italico for this very semifinal, considered by the Azzurro fans as a sort of good luck charm for the champion. She had already followed Sinner during the Monte Carlo tournament he won in April, while she remained absent in Madrid for commitments related to fashion shows and events.
