Milan market: Allegri’s list for the Champions League

The return to the Champions League is just a step away for AC Milan, which is preparing for the last, decisive match of the season at home against already safe Cagliari. Qualification in the most important competition would undoubtedly strengthen the position of Massimiliano Allegri, who could stay despite the already planned managerial revolution decided by patron Gerry Cardinale.

Allegri in case of confirmation will ask for guarantees and a major qualitative improvement of the squad to sustain the double commitment in the coming season. According to Tuttosport reports, the Livorno coach’s priority is the arrival of international level players, already experienced and with great charisma, a bit like last season’s strikes Adrien Rabiot and Luka Modric.

With Maignan confirmed in goal, in defense Allegri wants a high-level reinforcement, and on everyone is Lazio defender Mario Gila. In recent days the name of Carvajal, outgoing from Real Madrid, had been mentioned, but the Spaniard is expected to choose an exotic league such as Saudi League or MLS. In midfield, the Diavolo is betting everything on Leon Goretzka: the German national will leave Bayern Munich and Allegri dreams of him in a midfield with Modric and Rabiot. Contacts have been established for some time but the player still needs to be convinced by the Rossoneri project.

The priority for Allegri remains in any case a top central forward, the one he already asked for (unsuccessfully) last season. The solutions are various, from Alexander Sorloth to Moise Kean, Gabriel Jesus and Robert Lewandowski, but the Tuscan coach has one name in mind above all: Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian striker is still far from a renewal with Juventus, and in case of a failure to make it to the Champions League with the bianconeri he will change air. Precisely Milan would represent the ideal solution for the former Fiorentina center forward, who would also find his former mentor again.
