After starting his career in Slovakia with Iskra Svit, the new player for the Azzurri played for 3 seasons in the G-League, first with the Erie BayHakws, which later became the Osceola Magic, finishing the 2018-2019 season with an average of 12.1 points per game, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists.
In 2019-2020 Petrucelli plays in Israel, with Hapoel Beer Sheva, having a 13-point average league,3.9 rebounds and 2.5 recovered balls per game. The following season he moved to Germany, with Ratipharm Ulm, also playing in the EuroCup, 7.5 points per game and 2.2 rebounds. In 2021-2022, the Italian-American player starts his career in the Italian top league playing with Germani Brescia.
