Trieste basketball, it’s chaos: absolute silence and only two players under contract

A big trouble. The future of Pallacanestro Trieste is increasingly hazy. The possibility of it all ending is high. As is well known, owner Paul Matiasic has put the club up for sale. His desire would be to start a new club in Rome.
Not wanting to use the sports title of Pallacanestro Trieste, Paul Matiasic is looking for buyers. The problem is figuring out who has the will and, more importantly, the economic strength to put a fair offer on the table. An initial check of at least five million euros is rumored to begin serious negotiations.
In the meantime, Pallacanestro Trieste is in limbo. According to Il Piccolo, there are currently only two players still under contract with the club, namely Michele Ruzzier and Markel Brown.
And, even for them, the feeling is that their future will be elsewhere. In short, a very complicated moment is being experienced in Trieste. Fans are waiting for news but, at the moment, only a decidedly deafening silence is coming from the company. Not what was hoped for after the 2004 bankruptcy (with a restart from the B2 Series) and the return to great levels in recent seasons.
