Calciomercato Lazio, Lotito sets the price for Mario Gila

Lazio continues to armor Mario Gila. Calling him incedible is perhaps still premature, but the club’s message is clear: convincing the biancocelesti to let him leave in this market session will be very complicated. Napoli is closely following the Spanish defender, born in 2000 and under contract until 2027, but Lotito does not seem willing to discount him. The valuation remains firm around 30 million euros, despite a situation that could become less simple with the passage of time.

For his part, Gila has reportedly already expressed his willingness to change environment. The non-renewal is a significant clue, as are the dialogues he has had with the club, either directly or through his entourage. Napoli therefore remains at the window: it appreciates the qualities of the central player, but wants to avoid auctions or expenses considered excessive. The idea is to find a sustainable compromise for both parties.

To further complicate the operation there is also Real Madrid. At the time of the player’s sale to Lazio in 2022, the Spanish club was in fact guaranteed 50 percent on future resale. An element that weighs in the evaluations of Lotito, who is determined to get the most possible from a possible sale in order to then reinvest in the market and adequately replace a defender who has become fundamental in the team’s balance.

The negotiation is still in its initial stages, but it could soon get into full swing, especially after Allegri’s officialization and the definition of Napoli’s market strategies.
