Piero Bucchi does not want to make the biggest mistake

On the day of the official presentation, Piero Bucchi, the new coach of Givova Scafati, dictated the technical guidelines for the upcoming season.
Two are the guidelines on which his work will unfold: “Solidity and character – explained the former Cantù and Sassari among others -: these are the elements that will have to represent the peculiarities of the team in a championship that promises to be very competitive and of high quality level.”
“We will make a team with 6 Italians and as many foreigners – added Frank Vitucci’s successor – moreover, I am very happy that Mascolo has stayed. He will play an important role in the team I want to field. Now we are probing the international market. We are doing it very carefully because we don’t want to miss out on American players. First and foremost, we want to follow the criterion of sharing the technical-sporting project in the choice of athletes who will have to be protagonists in the coming year.”
A landing in Scafati that represents for Bucchi a sort of return to his Campania origins, after a career studded with experiences at the highest levels. Owner Nello Longobardi did not hide his satisfaction with the closing of the deal: “Bucchi is an important coach, with a pedigree of great prominence for results obtained and experience in the A series,” he said. “We had already looked for him in the past years, when we were in the top league, now we have managed to bring him to Scafati. With the coach, we have defined a two-year project, with the awareness that the top priority is to stay in A”.
The coach, for his part, had already outlined his philosophy at the time of the signing: “Scafati is a warm square. Our goal will be to create a recognizable, competitive team capable of fighting every week. We will need everyone’s help: society, team and fans. In Serie A, details make a difference and compactness will be key. For my part, I will bring experience, hard work and maximum availability.”
