A cyclist was in danger, and the first person to come to his aid was… Berardi

Domenico Berardi’s act of heroism on the Forte dei Marmi boardwalk turned what seemed like a normal summer morning into a heartwarming display of solidarity. Yesterday, around 2:30 p.m., near Via Cavour, a young employee of a local pizzeria fell off his bicycle due to a mechanical failure, crashing onto the asphalt of the bike path. The young man remained on the ground, injured and with a visibly dislocated shoulder.
The first to come to the victim’s aid was none other than the Sassuolo captain, who was riding his bike a short distance ahead and stopped immediately to help. The soccer player was joined by Elisa Coppedé, the owner of a local bar.
Shortly afterward, some young people from the nearby Bagno Raffaelli beach club also stepped in to shield the injured man from the sun with a beach umbrella while waiting for the Croce Verde ambulance to arrive, which then transported him to the hospital. This incident highlights the value of a simple yet decisive gesture—that of Berardi—which can make a difference even off the field.
