Jannik Sinner, a model of humility, shares a special message on social media

Jannik Sinner has been crowned Wimbledon champion for the second consecutive time. The Italian, who triumphed over Carlos Alcaraz in last year’s final, defeated Alexander Zverev this year to retain his title at the London tournament.
The day after his great triumph, the South Tyrolean posted a special message on social media: “Blood, sweat, and tears (of joy)! This team drives me, inspires me, and never lets me down. I wouldn’t be here without you. I can’t believe we did it again—thanks to everyone who made it possible! See you next year,” reads the caption accompanying a photo of him with his staff.
In *La Gazzetta dello Sport*, Paolo Bertolucci analyzed Sinner’s victory on Center Court as follows: “He arrived at Wimbledon with some doubts on his mind. In the end, though, he solved the problem in spectacular fashion: in the final at Church Road, he faced Sascha Zverev instead of Carlos Alcaraz, and while some might think the match was easier, it wasn’t.”
“Zverev in the final—especially in the first two sets, or two and a half sets—probably played the best tennis of his life. He certainly had never played at such a high level on grass before. Sinner was fantastic; he held his ground and didn’t back down a single millimeter,” concluded the tennis legend.
