Milan: Two Options for the Problematic Surplus

One of Milan’s most disappointing players last season was undoubtedly Pervis Estupiñán. The fullback, signed by the Rossoneri for 17 million euros, failed to impress at all, and Massimiliano Allegri almost always preferred the young Davide Bartesaghi over him.

With the arrival of Ruben Amorim, things don’t seem to be looking up for Estupiñán: the new Rossoneri coach is not at all convinced by the Ecuadorian and has already given his approval for a transfer. Aston Villa and Lens are the main clubs showing interest in the former Brighton player.

To replace Pervis Estupiñán, it appears that Milan has dusted off an old target: David Raum. The Leipzig captain has a contract valid through 2027 with the German club, which is pushing to convince him to renew.

Should Raum decide not to extend his stay in Germany, Leipzig may be forced to sell him to avoid losing him for free in 12 months. Manchester United and Bournemouth are also interested in him.
