Kimi Antonelli secured, We noticed it at Silverstone; we thought it was the brakes, but that wasn’t the case. Then we thought it was my driving style—the throttle—and I convinced myself that there was something wrong with me. Now we’re sure that’s not the case and that there’s a serious problem. The team is working hard to fix it, but every lap, when I see that I’m losing two to six tenths on the straights, it’s pretty frustrating,” the British driver said, as reported by DAZN Spain.

In short, George Russell is certain he’s being penalized and that it’s not his fault: “You feel powerless. We don’t know what’s going on. To be honest, I don’t think it’s the power unit. But there’s something holding us back on the straights.”

The result? The duel with Kimi Antonelli, from the Briton’s point of view, wouldn’t be fair: “If this continues, I can’t fight for the win in a fair duel with my teammate, and right now it’s not a fair duel. It’s nobody’s fault; it just turned out that way.”
