Milan Transfer News: It’s Official—Luka Modric Will Remain with the Rossoneri

Negotiations between Milan and Luka Modric concluded on Thursday with the final green light, confirming the Croatian’s continued stay with the Rossoneri, three weeks after his previous contract expired. “AC Milan announces that Luka Modric has signed a contract for one additional season, through June 30, 2027,” reads an official statement from the club.

“A cornerstone of the Rossoneri midfield since his arrival, Luka has put his experience and talent to work for the team, both on and off the field,” the Milan statement continues. One of the world’s strongest and most iconic players, the Croatian will continue his journey in the Rossoneri jersey—with which he made 37 appearances and scored 2 goals last season—with the ambition of achieving new major milestones. “Luka Modric will continue to wear the Rossoneri’s No. 14 jersey.”
