Tezenis Verona Signing: Andrew Andrews’ Arrival Is Official: “I Know the History”

Tezenis Basket Verona has pulled off a major coup by securing a highly valuable player like Andrew Andrews. Here is the official statement from the Verona-based club.

“Tezenis Verona is pleased to announce that it has signed a one-year contract with Andrew Andrews, a 188 cm American point guard born in Portland, Oregon, on May 25, 1993. After completing his college career at the University of Washington in 2016 as one of the top scorers in the Pac-12, Andrew Andrews began his professional career in Turkey with Best Balıkesir. After a stint in the NBA G League with the Delaware Blue Coats, he moved to Europe in 2018 to play for VEF Riga, with whom he won the national championship. He then played for Büyükçekmece in Turkey before moving to Israel to play for Maccabi Haifa. In the 2020–21 season, he returned to Turkey to play for Darüşşafaka, and the following year he was a key player for Frutti Extra Bursaspor, helping the Turkish team make its historic run to the EuroCup final.

In the summer of 2022, he made his EuroLeague debut with Panathinaikos, before returning to Bursaspor in the second half of the season. In 2023–24, he played in the Liga ACB with Joventut Badalona, while in the 2024–25 season he played for Wolves Vilnius, also competing in the EuroCup. In the 2025–26 season, he began the year in Australia with the Cairns Taipans in the Australian top flight (NBL), where he finished the season averaging 14.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game, before moving to China to play for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls for the remainder of the season.
