Acqua S.Bernardo Cantù rounds out its roster with Isaiah Miles
Acqua S.Bernardo Pallacanestro Cantù has announced the signing of American forward Isaiah Darnell Miles. Born on June 9, 1994, in Baltimore, Maryland, Miles is 203 cm tall and weighs 100 kg. Having established himself during his high school years as one of Maryland’s top prospects, he attracted the attention of a Division I college, Saint Joseph’s University. He spent four years at the Philadelphia-based university, improving with each season, and capped off his college career in 2016 with an average of over 18 points per game, an Atlantic 10 Conference championship, and the Most Improved Player award.
In 2016, he began his professional career in Dijon, averaging 12.2 points per game for the season. It would be the first of ten seasons in which he would post an incredible 41.7% three-point shooting percentage—a statistic that attests to his impressive shooting skills.
He spent his second season in Turkey with Uşak Sportif, where he again averaged double-digit points. He returned to France for the 2018–19 season to play for Limoges, with whom he also competed in the EuroCup, averaging 10.3 points per game. The following summer, he signed a contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, who immediately assigned him to the Delaware Blue Coats, their G-League affiliate. In February, he reached an agreement with Cholet, but the COVID-19 pandemic halted the French league before he could make his debut with his new team. He then made a fresh start with the Israeli team Hapoel Holon, where he played a leading role in a remarkable BCL campaign, averaging over 15 points per game, and won the Balkan League as the Final Four MVP. In 2021, he moved to Promitheas Patras in Greece, competing once again in the EuroCup. He remained in the same league the following year, signing with AEK Athens. In 2023–24, he returned to the Israeli league with Maccabi Ramat Gan, averaging 13.4 points per game—a performance so impressive that Hapoel Tel Aviv signed him for the remainder of the season. The following year, he returned to Maccabi Ramat Gan, which had since joined the BCL. He finally began the 2025–26 season with Cholet, but in December he moved to Merkezefendi in Turkey, where he averaged 11.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

In my 10-year career, I’ve never played in Italy, but I asked some of my former teammates for information, and they spoke very highly of this place, telling me in particular how passionate the Cantù fans are. I’m excited and hope that together we can have a special season,” said the player.
