Napoli Transfer Market: Offer for the Former Real Madrid Player Who Is Also on Juventus’ Radar

Following Romelu Lukaku’s transfer to Fenerbahçe, Napoli’s transfer market has picked up steam: Benoît Badiashile is on his way and will be invaluable in shoring up Napoli’s defense; Costantino Favasuli is waiting for the final paperwork to be finalized before flying to Campania; and Aurelio De Laurentiis will then evaluate two more signings.

The first is Dani Ceballos, a high-profile free agent following his long stint at Real Madrid. The midfielder is in contact with Betis Seville (the club where he came up through the ranks), but Napoli wants him badly and, according to Spanish media reports, has already sent an offer to his representatives.

Ceballos is also on Juventus’ radar: he isn’t a priority for the Bianconeri, but the front office is very interested in him and had already considered him last summer. Juventus urgently needs to resolve the goalkeeper situation, and only after closing that chapter will it be able to focus on other negotiations.

In addition to Dani Ceballos, Napoli would also like to sign Gabriel Jesus. De Laurentiis is very keen on the Brazilian and immediately identified him as the top candidate to fill the void left by Romelu Lukaku, who moved to Fenerbahçe for 6 million euros plus bonuses.

Lorenzo Lucca could also leave Napoli soon: Massimiliano Allegri isn’t particularly fond of the former Udinese player, and Torino is monitoring the situation with great interest. Ignazio Abate has asked Urbano Cairo for a quality addition to the attack, and Lucca could be the right man for the Granata.

Torino’s plan would be to offer Napoli a loan with an option to buy, a proposal that isn’t particularly appealing to the Neapolitans, who would prefer a permanent transfer. However, if no other offers come in for the center forward, the Neapolitans might be forced to accept the proposal from Cairo’s club.
