Juventus Transfer Market: Who Is Hugo Bueno, the Bianconeri’s Surprise Target?

Juventus is working to add depth to Luciano Spalletti’s roster across all positions. As for the wings, the Bianconeri are evaluating several players who could be useful to the Tuscan coach and will soon try to make a move for one of them.
Also on the list is Hugo Bueno, a left-back owned by Wolverhampton. Bueno is a versatile fullback, capable of playing both as a fullback and in a more advanced position. He’s a full-width winger whom Spalletti could deploy in either a three-man or four-man backline, as an alternative to Cambiaso.
Born in 2002, the Vigo-born player developed as a soccer player at Wolverhampton, where he arrived in 2019 at age 16. He made his first-team debut in 2022 and spent the 2024–2025 season on loan at Feyenoord. In the span of three years, his market value has doubled and is now estimated at around 12 million euros.
Last season, he firmly established himself as the Wolves’ starting left back, playing 35 Premier League matches, scoring one goal, and providing two assists. This season, he is expected to play in the Championship, England’s second division: Juventus may try to convince him to move to Italy on loan with an option to buy. This is according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Other targets for the left flank include Álvaro Carreras, Rayan Aït-Nouri, and Emerson Palmieri.
Speaking specifically of the 2021 European champion, a surprising rumor has been circulating in recent hours: according to Tuttosport, the Brazilian fullback has reportedly been offered to Juventus. The 32-year-old, who still has one year left on his contract with Olympique Marseille, knows Spalletti well from their time together in Rome. Palmieri is capable of playing on both flanks and can adapt to both a three-man and a four-man backline. However, the rumor has not thrilled Juventus fans, who have voiced their displeasure rather harshly on social media.
