Juventus Transfer Market: Sale Clears the Way for Another Major Signing

Another step toward leaving Continassa, with Palermo looking increasingly likely this time. Mattia Perin is now close to leaving Juventus, after having been linked several times in recent years to a possible departure. The goalkeeper, however, had always chosen to stay in Turin, even accepting the role of backup and making himself available to the team.
Now, though, the situation seems to have changed. Palermo’s offer represents an important opportunity for Perin, especially considering the ambitions of the Rosanero, coached by Filippo Inzaghi and aiming for promotion to Serie A. The Sicilian club is offering him a two-year contract with an automatic renewal for a third season in the event of promotion, thus guaranteeing him a starring role even in the top flight. At Juventus, on the other hand, Perin has only one year left on his contract, and there is no certainty regarding a renewal. Furthermore, the goalkeeping department is undergoing a major overhaul, and the departure of the number 1 could be a key part of the new plan.
Perin’s departure would also have significant implications for Juventus’s transfer market. His departure would, in fact, allow the club to free up additional space in the payroll, a margin that could be used to try to land Franck Kessié. Juventus has already recouped approximately 6 million euros in salary with Arthur’s departure, and Perin’s exit would free up another portion, in the range of a couple of million. These resources could prove decisive in presenting the midfielder with a more compelling offer.
First, however, the club will also need to finalize another piece of the puzzle in the goalkeeping department by transferring Michele Di Gregorio. This move could lead to a shakeup in goal and, at the same time, allow Juventus to free up valuable resources to reinvest in the transfer market. Perin is getting closer and closer to a move to Palermo, and at Continassa, his departure could pave the way for a renewed push to sign Kessié.
