Cagliari Transfer Market: An English Threat Looms Over the Rossoblù’s Star Player

In this transfer window, Cagliari—coming off a 14th-place finish last season—is proving to be very active: Tommaso Giulini is working tirelessly to provide Fabio Pisacane with a competitive and well-rounded roster across all positions.

The priority, however, is to retain the team’s key players, and Pisacane has emphasized this more than once. This is the case, for example, with Juan Rodriguez, who arrived in Sardinia last summer from Peñarol and immediately became a crucial part of the Rossoblù lineup.

The defender, born in 2005, has improved significantly over the past season, and his performances have not gone unnoticed: several Premier League and Championship clubs reportedly have their sights set on him and are ready to make a substantial offer to convince Cagliari to let him go.

However, it won’t be easy to convince Giulini to part with Juan Rodriguez: the president of the Sardinian club will do everything in his power to keep the defender, but if an offer he can’t refuse were to come along, things could change.

Fans are hoping Rodriguez stays in Cagliari for at least one more season, but there’s still a week left before the transfer window closes, and anything could happen.
