Fiorentina Transfer News: Kean Snaps and Refuses to Train. Como Waits
Tensions between Moise Kean and Fiorentina are escalating. In recent days, a full-blown standoff has begun between the club and the Italian national team forward, who is pushing to transfer to Como.
On Wednesday morning, a new chapter unfolded in the saga: the player arrived late at Viola Park for the appointment set by Fabio Grosso and refused to train. This is yet another sign of his firm determination to leave Tuscany and join the club based on Lake Como. Fiorentina has responded with a firm hand: the player will be fined and now risks being dropped from the roster.
Como has raised its offer to 35 million euros as a base fee plus 5 million in bonuses, but Fiorentina is currently stalling. Como’s push for Kean is driven by European regulations: the Larian club, making its Champions League debut this season, must comply with UEFA regulations regarding players trained in Italy, and Kean—with 26 appearances and 13 goals for the national team—represents a nearly ideal solution in this regard. This is no minor detail in the strategy of Fabregas’s club, which has identified the center forward as a specific priority for tackling the continental competition.
