Olimpia Milano: Flaccadori Explains Why the Red-and-White Club Is (Always) His First Choice

Flaccadori joined Armani Olimpia Milano in the summer of 2023. A true professional, he has always made a valuable contribution, even when he’s only been on the court for a few minutes. A team leader in the locker room, he is highly regarded by his teammates and the club.

He is now preparing for what will be his fourth season in red and white. His goal is to put last season—which wasn’t particularly fortunate for him personally (a few too many injuries)—behind him and be ready every time Coach Poeta puts him on the court.

Flaccadori has been courted by other clubs but has always put Olimpia first, clearly explaining the reason behind this choice: “Playing for Olimpia in Milan is worth so much more. People often say you could go play 30 minutes somewhere else and take 20 shots per game. Yes, that’s true, but if you have a role in Milan—as I believe I had in my first two seasons—it’s completely different,” he said at the recent event unveiling the new Omoda-Mocauto sponsorship.

Now a seasoned player (30 years old), thanks to Olimpia Milano he has celebrated two league titles, one Italian Cup, and two Italian Super Cups. The third could come on the weekend of September 19–20 in Tortona.
