According to reports in *La Nuova Venezia*, Brugnaro reportedly went behind the Reyer bench and instructed the coaching staff to call a timeout—a request that allegedly triggered a reaction from Spahija, who reportedly threw his jacket to the ground.

After the game, Coach Spahija downplayed the incident: “I don’t know what happened. He’s an owner who has given everything to the club. We’re here for Brugnaro, not for Spahija. He was asking for something; I went about my business. Nothing special, if you ask me.”
