2026-2027 Nations League: Latvia vs. Cyprus, Probable Lineups

Latvia and Cyprus will face off on Monday at 6 p.m. as they look to bounce back from their opening losses in the Nations League. The hosts lost 2-0 to Armenia, while the visitors were defeated by Montenegro, who scored the winning goal—2-1—just minutes before the final whistle.

Paolo Nicolato’s squad—now leading the Latvian national team following his stint with the Azzurrini—is expected to line up in a 3-4-3 formation. Matrevic will be in goal, with Melniks, Cernomordijs, and Vientiess in front of him. Tonisevs and Cirkin will man the flanks, while Vapne and Zelenkovs will control the tempo in midfield. In the attacking trio, Daskevics and Uldrikis will play on either side of Gutkovskis.
