Modena: This away game is more crucial than ever for Hellas Verona at the start of the season, as the team is coming off a home win against Vicenza but has yet to secure a victory on the road. Modena vs. Hellas Verona will be played on Sunday, October 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the “Alberto Braglia” Stadium in Modena.

“Our focus is squarely on finding consistency in our performance,” commented Gialloblu coach Marco Baroni at the pregame press conference. “We need these matches against strong opponents to get the answers we’re looking for.” Baroni went into more detail, highlighting several situations that need to be managed.

“Suslov returned from national team duty with a few niggles. Mosquera is back, as are Frese and Bradaric, though they’re not yet at their best in terms of playing time. Mulattieri is also good to go. Serdar had some issues due to heavy training loads, but his knee is fine. Now we’ve slowed things down a bit to manage the overload.”

Ekuban? “He’s been training consistently for two weeks, so we want to get him into top form as well. From this perspective, we’ve also brought Mosquera back to full fitness.”

Our opponent on Sunday, October 11: “Modena has a strong and ambitious organizational structure; they’ve just opened a state-of-the-art sports center—I read that 18 million euros were invested in it—and they’ve also put together a strong team. Right now, they have some of the best defensive and offensive stats, so they’re a high-quality, physically strong team. That’s fine by me, because it will be a very tough match for us—we want to test ourselves against teams like this.”
