Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton Humiliated: The Message to the Team

A bittersweet day for Ferrari in Singapore: Charles Leclerc finished second in the Marina Bay race but was unable to put pressure on Max Verstappen, who won the race without any major issues. Lewis Hamilton finished only sixth after opting for a
one-stop strategy that didn’t pay off.
At the end of the race, via team radio, the seven-time world champion apologized to the pit wall: “Sorry, guys, I let you down with that strategy. It was my decision; it cost us valuable points, and I’ll try to make up for it next time. Great job on the pit stop.”
In the overall standings, Lewis Hamilton currently sits in third place with 229 points, 8 points ahead of Max Verstappen and 14 points ahead of his teammate Charles Leclerc.
From a championship standpoint, the race in Singapore gives Antonelli a real chance to clinch the title as early as the next race. The Mercedes driver, who leads the standings with 340 points, can be crowned world champion in Austin, Texas, on Sunday, October 25: to do so, he’ll need to win the race and hope that Russell finishes no higher than ninth. Behind him in the overall standings is Russell with 238 points, followed by Hamilton with 229, Verstappen with 221, and Leclerc with 215.
