Juventus Transfer Market: A Bid in January for the Breakout Forward

Juventus is always on the lookout for opportunities to strengthen Luciano Spalletti’s attack, and an important opportunity could arise in January. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Old Lady’s transfer team is exploring a potential deal ahead of the winter transfer window.
The target is Antonio Raimondo, the Frosinone forward who has been a revelation in the first half of the season. His hat trick against Sassuolo reaffirmed the value of the player, born in 2004, who has suddenly jumped to the top of the Serie A scoring charts with 7 goals.
Spalletti is looking for a player with those characteristics, and Juventus could make a move as early as the coming months, bringing forward the investment it had planned to make in June. Much will also depend on the physical condition of Jeff Ekhator, who is expected to return to the field in a few weeks. Raimondo has clearly caught the eye of sporting directors across half of Europe, who could enter the fray.
Frosinone itself hopes to keep the player until next June, and it cannot be ruled out that Juventus might decide to leave him on loan in the Ciociaria region until next summer. Raimondo is owned by Bologna, the club where he came up through the youth ranks before going on loan to Ternana, Venezia, Salernitana, and, since last season, Frosinone. This past summer, the Rossoblù extended the forward’s contract through 2028 before sending him out on loan again to the Ciociaria region, but his performances in recent weeks could prompt the Emilia-Romagna-based club’s management to reconsider. In addition to Juventus, Milan, Inter, and Roma are also keeping a close eye on the young striker in Italy.
