Tragedy in Arcore: 51-Year-Old Davide Rinaldi Is the Victim; Search Underway for the Driver of a Heavy-Duty Vehicle

The victim of the tragedy on the roads of Brianza—where a 51-year-old cyclist lost his life in an accident that occurred late yesterday morning in Arcore—is Davide Rinaldi, born in Milan, who was riding along Provincial Road SP45 when he was reportedly struck by a heavy vehicle.
At the time of the accident, Davide Rinaldi was not alone. He was riding with another cyclist, who was deeply shaken by the tragedy. The man may be able to provide important details to reconstruct the final moments before the collision and help investigators understand the exact sequence of events.
The accident also caused major traffic disruptions. Long traffic jams formed along the route connecting Arcore to the SP60, in the direction of Monza and the Brianteo Stadium, with traffic coming to a standstill during rescue operations and the on-scene investigation.
Several questions remain, particularly regarding the identity of the driver of the heavy vehicle that may have been involved in the tragic accident and the circumstances that led to the cyclist’s death. The Carabinieri’s investigation is continuing to determine liability and shed full light on the incident.
