Cantù: Rumors of a major comeback are giving fans hope once again

Green currently plays for Reyer Venezia, which signed him in September on a short-term contract to cover for Sir’Jabari Rice’s injury. The American’s performances are said to have convinced President Luigi Brugnaro to consider extending his contract through the end of the season. The current contract includes an exit clause, exercisable by either the player or the club, set to expire on November 19.
The Brianza-based team reportedly entered the picture in the last few hours, attempting to take advantage of the contractual situation to bring back to Cantù a player who is already very familiar with the environment. Green could be an important addition, especially to support Semaj Christon, who has had a difficult start to the season so far.
The American’s offensive skills, combined with his ability to create scoring opportunities and stretch defenses, could offer new options for the Cantù team. However, the road ahead remains an uphill battle. Reyer can offer a salary adjustment, the chance to compete in a European tournament, and a coaching plan that includes competing in both the league and the EuroCup. Green, too, appears inclined to continue his stint in Venice, despite interest from Turkey.
