Marc Marquez, Tardozzi speaks bluntly: “The comments from others have fueled our strength”

Marc Marquez is on track to win his tenth world title, his eighth in MotoGP: Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi is almost at a loss for words when describing the Catalan champion. “This comeback was possible thanks to his mindset and our team, because no one here—starting with Marc himself—ever stopped believing in it.”

“He’s not just about his talent. There are plenty of talented riders… but he has the best mindset of them all. This comeback was unimaginable after Mugello, but not for us,” continued Tardozzi, who then took a dig at the rivals in an interview with AS.

“What happened at Mugello was the fuel we needed: the comments made by others, the victory—which was terrible for us—that they achieved, and our defeat all ended up becoming our strength.” The No. 93 rider, who was returning to the Tuscan track after his injury, racked up a string of strong results (7 wins out of 11 Sunday races) that allowed him to catch up to the Aprilia riders.

On the Qatar round: “It’s clear there have been many discussions, but the organizers have assured us it’s safe, and we trust them,” Tardozzi said.
