Marc Marquez apologizes and accepts a penalty

It lasted less than a lap the Austin sprint race for Marc Márquez who, in an attempt to overtake Fabio Di Giannantonio in turn 12, ended up on the ground, also knocking down the opponent ahead of him.
The Spaniard commented on the incident this way, “It was a mistake, yes. And it had consequences, because we involved another driver. The penalty has not been announced yet, but tomorrow we will serve it. When you fall it hurts, but when you involve someone else it hurts even more.”
“I didn’t consider the wake of the three drivers in front: at a certain point I couldn’t stop anymore, there was no space on the outside, and I decided to try anyway. But by changing trajectory, the slipstream effect ended and, unfortunately, Di Giannantonio paid the consequences while being completely innocent,” the nine-time world champion clarified.
