Koulibaly and Niang fly to the World Cup

It is Senegal’s national team number 24 that earned the pass to the World Cup in Russia.
While Europe is waiting to designate the last four qualifiers who will emerge from the playoffs, Aliou Cissé’s team won the African zone’s Group D tie-off against South Africa, played in Polokwane, a repeat a year later of the match cancelled due to the scandal involving Ghanaian referee Lamptey, who was disbarred after voluntarily altering the match result.
On Nov. 12, 2016, it was the ‘Bafana Bafana’ who won, but this time Senegal, with Kalidou Koulibaly and Mbaye Niang also on the pitch, had an easy time: the 2-0 win was signed already in the first half by Sakho’s goals and Mkhize’s own goal, with Sadio Mané starring in both goals.
For Senegal second participation after the 2002 one, which ended in the quarterfinals against Denmark after resoundingly beating France in the opening match.
