Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri after the draw with Udinese expressed himself as follows, “We had an approach to the match as a mentally tired team, slowly we recovered and had a great second half. Events made it spectacular. We messed it up, but we showed reaction and character. The positives are there.”

The coach of the Biancocelesti spoke about Mandas’ transfer: “I was not happy, we had two very good goalkeepers and when you take a risk something happens. We were lucky to stumble upon this level guy, Motta, who is doing well. I hope he stays with his feet on the ground, he is not a done goalkeeper yet. He has to improve on situations sharply, but he has important qualities.”

Sarri drastically ruled out a return to Naples: “It’s fantasy soccer. Why is it that when you talk about me it always comes out that I am old? In Serie A there are a couple older than me…”.

An evening that provided great entertainment at the Olimpico, with the match of the 34th day of Serie A ending 3-3 between two teams now free of any ranking pressure. The Biancocelesti are currently in eighth place with 48 points, while Runjaic’s Udinese occupy 11th position with 44. In the first half, it was the Friulian side that had taken the lead on 19′ through Ehizibue, before the match turned into a real show in the second half: Pellegrini had signed the equalizer on 52′, Pedro the overtake on 79′, but Atta’s double on 86′ and 93′ had overturned the result again. Sealing the final 3-3 was Daniel Maldini in the 95′, after Romagnoli had hit the post on Isaksen’s cross.
