Cagliari saves itself, Crotone first

Luca Ranieri
New leader in Serie B: Crotone, thanks to a double by former Juventus player Palladino, defeated Ascoli 2-0 and thus overtook Cagliari in first place, which was in danger of losing its third consecutive game but in the end thanks to Farias and Joao Pedro at least snatched a 2-2 draw from Trapani, ahead through Pagliarulo and Citro.
In the playoff zone, poker for Novara, which took advantage of Pinato’s expulsion in Vicenza thanks to Corazza, Evacuo, Faragò and Viola. The Ligurian sides also did well: Spezia ran away at Avellino with a decisive goal by Acampora and Entella at English over Bari (goals by Caputo and Masucci). Both thus overcame Brescia, which was defeated by surprise in Lanciano (Ferrari).
Completing the picture were Perugia’s narrow victory in the Umbrian derby with Ternana (Prcic in goal again) and the draw of tail-end Como at Latina: Dumitru replied to Ganz.
