Playout Serie B, Bari goes blank and gets booed: 0-0 with Sudtirol

The first leg match of the Serie B playout between Bari and Sudtirol ended 0-0: the Galletti failed to take advantage of the home factor and did not go beyond 1-1 at the San Nicola, despite nearly 30 thousand fans cheering in the stands.
The hosts created very little and played a waiting game, while the Alto Adige kept the ball of the game, but remained very cautious and almost never broke through.
Rarely any chances: in the first half the Apulians had two chances with Maggiore and Rao, in the second half Sudtirol made themselves dangerous on spot kicks. It ended 0-0, and in the stands the fans did not hide their bitterness by booing the team.
In a week’s time, on Friday, May 22 at 8 p.m., the return match is scheduled at the Druso stadium that will decide who between the two teams will remain in the cadet series: the Alto Adige will only need a draw by virtue of the better league standings, while Longo’s team will have to win at all costs.
