Germani Brescia redeemed itself in game 2 of the LBA playoff series against Trieste. After losing in the opening game of the series, the Lombards this time made the home factor count and won 90-82, at the end of a very tense match with a hint of a brawl. Brescia’s captain Amedeo Della Valle had in slight problem during the third quarter but returned for the closing period. The top scorer of the match was Bilan with 22 points, for Trieste Ross with 21.

Germani coach Matteo Cotelli praised his team: “The difference with our performance in game 1 was our faces, our being a team as we have been all year. Unfortunately, in game 1 we had a rough ride, today we showed that we are a team and we will be a team until the end,” the Lombardi’s coach told LBA TV, who calls for sacrifice and focus from his people for the rest of the series.

“What would I like to see again from tonight in the rest of the series? This ability of ours to help each other, to take a step toward each other, to be stretched in one direction, our goal.”

“Trieste is a great team, they are proving it, they will be very difficult games,” Cotelli concluded. “However, if we are as compact as we saw tonight, we can have good aspirations.”
