Marc Marquez returns to win, podium and top stretch for Bezzecchi

The Sprint Race of the 2026 Hungarian GP, the round of the MotoGP World Championship at the Balaton Park circuit, saw the return to success of Marc Marquez, protagonist of an authoritative test. The Spaniard of the factory Ducati, who started from pole position, immediately took the lead and gradually increased his advantage until crossing the finish line with a margin of more than two seconds over the first pursuer. For Marquez, this was his first success since returning from surgery.
Behind him finished Pedro Acosta. The young Spaniard of the KTM got off to a very good start and consolidated second position, defending it with confidence throughout the race.
Third place for Marco Bezzecchi, author of a convincing performance with the official Aprilia. After an excellent start from the second row, the Italian rider managed the thirteen laps of the Sprint with lucidity, winning important points in the race for the world title. Bezzecchi thus retains a margin of twenty points on teammate Jorge Martin, who finished in sixth place behind Raul Fernandez (Aprilia clients) and Fermin Aldeguer (Ducati Gresini).
Longer delayed Francesco Bagnaia, only ninth with the other official Ducati. Ahead of him finished Diogo Moreira (Honda) and Enea Bastianini (KTM). Outside the points zone, however, was Fabio Di Giannantonio, tenth at the finish line on the Ducati VR46.
