Udinese re-signs Zaniolo: the figures

Nicolò Zaniolo will remain with Udinese for the upcoming season. The former Roma forward, coming off an excellent year in the Bianconeri jersey, has been permanently signed by the Friuli-based club, which has acquired him outright from Galatasaray. The former Italian international, coming off negative loan spells at Aston Villa, Atalanta, and Fiorentina, has found his place in Udine, where he has tallied 5 goals and 5 assists in 32 Serie A appearances.
“Nicolò Zaniolo is now a permanent Bianconero,” reads the club’s statement. “Udinese Calcio announces that it has exercised its option to permanently acquire Nicolò Zaniolo from Galatasaray. The player has signed a contract with the Club through June 30, 2029.”
To acquire the player’s registration rights, Udinese paid the Turkish club 5 million euros and also guaranteed 50% of any future resale proceeds.
“Following the experience gained in Friuli last season, Zaniolo will continue his journey in black and white, confirming the shared desire to give continuity to a technical project founded on quality, ambition, and growth. During the last season, the attacking midfielder made 32 appearances, scoring 5 goals and providing 5 assists in the league (with one goal in the Coppa Italia as well), making a significant contribution to the team’s progress and confirming his qualities within the squad.”
