Monza Transfer Market: Paolo Bianco Is No Longer a Biancorosso

The split is now official. In a statement, AC Monza and Paolo Bianco announced that they had mutually terminated their contract. “The club thanks the coach for leading the Biancorossi with dedication and passion, guiding them to promotion to Serie A, and wishes him all the best for the future,” read the statement from the Brianza-based club. Bianco, formerly of Modena and Frosinone, will soon be announced as the new head coach of Pisa, which was relegated to Serie B at the end of last season and is eager to return to the top flight.
This separation, however, did not take place on amicable terms. In recent days, CEO Mauro Baldissoni had spoken bluntly during a meeting at the U-Power Stadium: “Bianco said he didn’t feel up to continuing with Monza, and we asked him to resign. Someone with a two-year contract shouldn’t be retained… We take note of that. Now we’ll begin evaluating candidates for the new head coach.” Baldissoni then added a direct message to the Tuscan club: “We expect Bianco to resign. He and Pisa know the rules.”
The mutual termination thus comes at the end of negotiations that were not without tension, with Monza having formally asked the coach to resign before reaching the agreement that sealed the definitive parting of ways. Bianco leaves Brianza after achieving his most ambitious goal: promotion to Serie A, secured at the end of a Serie B season that concluded with a victory in the playoff final against Catanzaro. The Brianza side, bolstered by a two-goal lead from the first leg courtesy of Hernani and Caso, had withstood Catanzaro’s comeback in the second leg at the U-Power Stadium, where Catanzaro had pulled within 2-0 in the second half with goals from Fellipe Jack and Frosinini but failed to score the third goal that would have overturned the aggregate score.
However, there are other potential departures from Brianza. Modena is keeping a close eye on Paulo Azzi, a Brazilian winger born in 1994 who is under contract with Monza for one more season, and on Giuseppe Caso, who arrived in Brianza on loan in January 2026 and proved instrumental in the promotion. As for Caso, Monza holds a buyout clause for the Campania-born forward and will have to decide in the coming weeks whether to exercise it or open negotiations with the Canaries.
Bianco, formerly of Modena and Frosinone, will soon be announced as the new head coach of Pisa, which was relegated to Serie B at the end of last season and is eager to return to the top flight. The coach brings a wealth of experience to the table, having demonstrated his ability to build competitive teams even with squads that aren’t among the very best, as evidenced by the promotion he secured with Monza at the end of an intense Serie B season that was fiercely contested right down to the wire.
