Philadelphia may also be in the running for LeBron James. As reported by ESPN, the 76ers—fresh off the trade that brought Jaylen Brown to the City of Brotherly Love—are reportedly trying to join the race for the four-time MVP.

As is well known, LBJ has announced his departure from the LA Lakers. After eight years, he’s ready to take on a new challenge elsewhere. The Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Miami Heat are the known contenders for King James, who appears determined to take his time before deciding on his next destination.

Jaylen Brown’s arrival in Philadelphia, along with the deal reached Thursday morning with guard Anfernee Simons, are factors that could convince LBJ to choose the 76ers, giving him another chance to win what would be his fifth NBA championship ring.

At this point, all that’s left is to wait and see if Philadelphia will indeed add LeBron James to an already dream-like roster. It doesn’t seem so much a matter of money as it is of motivation—and, why not, the chance to compete for a title.
